1. Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore to inaugurate ISSF Shooting World Cup

Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore inaugurate the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup with 23 members squad with 11 shooters and various events in the world cup will start from February 23rd to 27th in New Delhi today.

2. PM Modi arrives in Seoul on a two-day visit; to receive Seoul Peace Prize

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seoul South Korea for bilateral talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in also have a number of engagements with the Korean leadership, businesses and Indian Community. PM going to address the India-Korea Business Symposium and will also launch India-Korea Startup Hub.

As 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, PM Modi will unveil a bust of Mahatma at the Seoul Campus of Yonsei University in Korea.

3. International Mother Language Day 2019

UNESCO has been celebrating International Mother Language Day today 21st February every year to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. the theme of this year Mother Language Day is Indigenous Languages as a factor in development, peace and reconciliation.

4.Saudi Crown Prince orders release of 850 Indian prisoners at PM Modi request

Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has ordered the release of 850 Indian prisoners lodged in Saudi jails on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s request and extend talks in New Delhi. Saudi Prince announced the increase in quota for Indian Haj pilgrims to 200,000. Ministry of External Affairs, India has decided to extend the e-Visa facility to Saudi nationals.

5. Lok Sabha passes “The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill – 2019”

Lok Sabha passed “The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill – 2019”. The theme of this bill to expand DNA based forensic technologies to support and strengthen the justice delivery system of the country. The bill formulated recognizing the need for regulation of the use and application of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) technology for identity of missing persons, victims, offenders, under trials and unknown deceased persons, it is gold standard in crime investigations.
