Introduced Industrial Relations Code Bill 2019
Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the Minister of State (I/C) for Labour and Employment introduced the Industrial Relations Code Bill 2019 in the Lok Sabha.
For the purpose to strengthen and amend the laws relating to trade unions and more the Bill created.
Specifically, the Industrial Relations Code 2019 on 20th November 2019 the Union Cabinet approved.
Development in North-Eastern Region
The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Budget Estimates for the year 2019-20 is Rs 3000 crore.
In particular, an amount of Rs. 1728.04 crore has spent (57.60%) as on 21st November 2019.
Further, the number of developmental projects sanctioned by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region in the NER during the last five years is 657 and among this completed around 652.
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh chaired Defence Acquisition Council
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh given approval for Capital Procurement for the Services amounting to over Rs 22,800 crore in Defence Acquisition Council meeting. Chiefly to boost ‘Make in India’ initiative.
DAC also approved purchasing of Anti-Submarine Warfare P8I aircraft for the Indian Navy, Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance (LRMR).
Furthermore, Twin-Engine Heavy Helicopters (TEHH) for the Indian Coast Guard to undertake missions to prevent maritime terrorism.
Cyber Attacks on Indian Nuclear Power Plants
Malware infection identified in the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP) administrative network.
Further strengthening of Information Security in administrative networks taken measures like hardening of internet and administrative intranet connectivity.
The Computer & Information Security Advisory Group (CISAG) of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) recommended immediate and short term execution.
Tamil Nadu Rocket Launching Pad
Rocket launching pad near Kulasekarapattinam in the State of Tamil Nadu approved.
Government of India, Department of Space approved the rocket launching pad.
