UPSC IAS Notification 2020

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2020 notification on 12th February 2020. Mainly, the commission conducts the civil service exam for recruiting candidates for the various services in Indian civil services. Specifically, these services include the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian police service (IPS), Indian foreign service (IFS) and more. UPSC 2020 Exam Eligibility:

UPSC IAS 2020 Educational Qualification

In order to apply for the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2020 minimum education qualification required is Degree from a government recognized university.

Nationality

  • For IAS and IPS, candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Other services require candidates to be either,
  1. Citizen of India
  2. Subject of Nepal
  3. Subject of Bhutan
  4. To settle permanently in India, Tibetan refugees came to India before January 1, 1962.
  5. To permanently settle in India, an Indian origin immigrant from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam.

How to apply for UPSC IAS Notification 2020?

In order to apply for the IAS Exam 2020  candidates have to fill out an online application form at the UPSC official website (www.upsc.gov).  After that, in the UPSC official website click on the link mentioning ‘Civil service (Preliminary) Exam online application’

Generally, there are two parts of the Civil Service Online registration for UPSC IAS Exam 2020:

  • Part I registration
  • Part II registration

Part-I registration:

  • Firstly, click on Part I Registration
  • Then, carefully read the UPSC instructions for filling the UPSC online application form  
  • After that, register with your basic details, valid email ID and mobile number. Ensure the entered details before submitting it.
  • Further, keep the unique 11-digit generated ID for future uses like UPSC admit card download and more.
  • Subsequently, by using your registration ID and password (Date of Birth) login and proceed to Part II registration
  • Finally, take the print of the IAS application for reference.

Part-II Registration:

  • In part-II registration, select the preferred exam center for attending the IAS prelims exam 2020
  • Then upload the scanned photo as well as the signature of the prescribed format and size.
