The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Online Notification for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service
Examination (ISS) on 21st March 2018 and the last date to fill the UPSC Online Application for ISS Exam is 16th April 2018 till 18.00 Hours.
The IES/ISS is a combined competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit candidates for the Junior Time Scale (JTS) band level of the services. The IES/ISS examination will be held from 29th June 2018 in consent with the Rules published by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the Gazette of India dated the 21st March 2018.
Here’s a glance at How to apply for IES/ISS Exam online at UPSC.
STEP 1: Candidates should log-in to the UPSC Official Website (www.upsc online.nic.in) and under the What’s New section click on the link ‘Exam Notification: Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2018’.
Once the candidates click on the link it will take them to another page as shown below.
STEP 2: Click on the Exam Notification document link. And a page as given-below will open and click the link given on the notification and it will take to another page.
STEP 3: Once the candidates click on the link ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC, another page opens as given below.
Before filling the UPSC Online Form for IES/ISS Exam, candidates are advised to read the detailed instructions for filling up UPSC Online Application.
STEP 4: Part I of the Indian Statistical Service Examination Application Form
STEP 5: Once the candidates fill the form and submit then next page will load where the candidates should select the age relaxation option ‘yes or no’ applicable to them or not.
Then the next part will be the payment -> Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.
STEP 6: Once the payment is complete, the candidate will be taken to the centre selection page as shown below.
STEP 7: Once the centre is selected by the candidate and submitted the candidates will be taken to the photo and signature upload page as show below
STEP 8: Once the candidates upload their scanned copies of photos and signatures they will be taken the final page where the candidates should agree to the declaration and submit.
Once the Part I form is submitted successfully, candidates will receive the RID number on their registered mobile number and the same will also be e-mailed to the registered email id.
STEP 9: Then the candidates should click on Part II of the application form and enter the RID no. as shown below.
Once the Part II of the Application is filled then the candidates will receive an acknowledgement in their mail and it is advised to candidates to keep the RID number for any future reference.
- Candidates who are already in Government owned industrial undertakings, Government Service, or other similar Organizations or in private employment should submit their applications direct to the Commission and also should inform their Head of Office/ Department in writing about the application for the examination. In case if the employer withholds the permission and communicates the same to the Commission then the application is liable to be cancelled.
- Candidates should fill their choice for exam centre carefully. If candidates appear in any other entre other than specified by the Commission in the candidates e-admit card, then the papers of such candidates will not be evaluated and the applications will be liable to cancellation.
- Faulty and incomplete applications will be immediately rejected.
- Candidates should ensure they satisfy all the UPSC eligibility conditions for and in case if it is found that the candidates do no fulfill any of the eligibility conditions then their applications will be cancelled by the Commission.
