Flood Damaged Kerala Central Government Assures more funds from the central, said  Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has assured Kerala’s Governor P Sathasivam that the flood in kerala damaged whole state and initially Central Government has announced 600 crore as a relief fund for keralaand now our prime minister said the kerala  will get more central funds from National Disaster Response Fund(NDPF) as per the laid down procedure. Prime Minister informed to the Governor that 600 crore rupees released by the Central government to the state are only the initial advance assistance to brief about the difficulties suffered by Keralites in the recent floods. 


According to Raj Bhawan release, Mr Narendra Modi told Governor that this amount is in addition to the 562.45 crore rupees already made available in the State Disaster Response Fund of the state. Prime Minister highlighted the fact when Mr Sathasivam met him in New Delhi that normal rules and procedures have been set aside in view of the emergency nature of requirement in Kerala.

Apart from this financial support, the Center has provided large quantities of emergency food, water, medicines and other essential supplies, including food grains as required by the state. Prime Minister said and reassured people of Kerala and other flood-affected regions that the entire country stands with them at this moment of calamity.
Kerala with the courage of people in the state, It will rise again as it was before and much better that the before kerala with all courage and brevary, each and every one of our Country are praying for kerala and ensuring speedy mitigation of the sufferings of the people in kerala state.
Each and Every agency played an exemplary role in rescuing activities, that may be armed forces, air force, navy, army, bsf, cisf, raf and many more people played a very crucial role in relief operartion every one are proud about the bravery of the agencies and keralites.
 Kerala Governor also met and apprised Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the law and order situation and the pace of the relief measures in Kerala. Mr Singh also assured the release of additional funds on completion of the assessment of damages as per set procedure.
